- Cleaning : Regular cleaning is essential to prevent dirt, debris, and stains from accumulating on your garden umbrella. Use a soft brush or sponge, mild soap, and warm water to gently clean the fabric or canopy. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the material.
- Storage : When not in use, it’s crucial to store your garden umbrella properly. If possible, remove the umbrella from the stand and store it in a dry, protected area. This helps prevent damage from harsh weather conditions, such as wind, rain, or intense sunlight. If you have a large umbrella that cannot be easily moved, consider using a protective cover to shield it from
the elements.
- Wind and Storm Precautions : Strong winds can be detrimental to garden umbrellas. Always close and secure your umbrella when there are high winds or storms in the forecast. If your umbrella has a tilt or cantilever mechanism, ensure it is locked in place. Consider using additional supports, such as weighted bases or ground anchors, to enhance stability.
- Repair and Maintenance : Regularly inspect your garden umbrella for any signs of wear and tear. Check for loose screws, broken parts, or frayed fabric. If you notice any damage, address it promptly to prevent further deterioration. Replace broken or damaged components, such as ribs or pulleys, and patch or replace torn fabric to maintain the umbrella’s functionality.
- Sun Protection : Garden umbrellas provide shade and protection from the sun’s harmful UV rays. However, over time, prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading and deterioration of the fabric. Consider using a UV-protective fabric or applying a fabric protectant spray to extend
the life of your umbrella. Additionally, if your umbrella does not provide adequate shade, you may want to position it strategically or consider adding a sunshade to ensure maximum sun protection
While the products you have chosen are for outdoor use, it is strongly recommended that you install, use and maintain these products as per our instructions. These products are designed and manufactured for outdoor use, with materials that endure tropical weather conditions.
To extend the life of all outdoor products in tough tropical conditions, never leave them exposed to the effects of harsh weather for long periods of time. Over exposure to UV rays and rain largely reduces the life of outdoor products and eventually causes irreparable damage. We recommend regular maintenance and storing these products properly covered when not in use.
Kindly read the Warranty and Claims terms as:
- All outdoor furniture products are covered under warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 3 year from the date of invoice. Our warranty includes solely and exclusively the repair or replacement of the defective part at our premises and not the product or products as a whole.
- Warranty on outdoor furniture is limited to manufacturing defects on frames and against fading or cracking of synthetic wicker.
- Garden umbrellas, cushions, hammocks, swings and glass tops are not covered under warranty.
- Outdoor water repellent fabric – 3 years against fading. (Please see detailed information on care & maintenance of fabrics)
- This warranty will be null and void if the defect is a result of misuse, mishandling, modification or repair without our knowledge or been installed with materials or methods not as per our instructions.
- The warranty will be null and void if the products are not maintained regularly as per our instructions. Please request a copy of the care and maintenance instructions along with your products.
- The expenses for the return and re-shipment of the defective product will be to the buyers account.
- Non-confirmed return of goods will not be accepted and risks and charges to the buyers account. For Ellements.
